Global Engagement
The Global Engagement subpage includes WebQuests on international commercial exchanges and business negotiations. The WebQuests offer challenge-based learning that fosters cooperative learning through guided discovery. One of the primary objectives of international trade between Practice Enterprises is to familiarize trainees with the diverse cultural, legal, and economic environments they encounter when dealing with international partners. They learn to navigate language barriers, adapt to different business practices, and understand the impact of cultural norms on business negotiations. The Cultural Understanding section supports VET trainees in their cross-cultural business interactions and ways in which they can learn from one another throughout the process. Through multinational activities, trainees can develop cultural awareness and multinational interactions, which prepare them for the world of work on a global scale. Multinational Practice Enterprises activities familiarize trainees with the diverse cultural environments when dealing with international partners. Global Competence is a multidimensional construct with a combination of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that are applied to global issues and intercultural situations. Global competence development is a life-long process. Global competencies are skills that are now being applied in a global context. Multinational Practice Enterprise activities effectively address the development of global competences, as well as cultural awareness and multinational interactions, and prepare trainees for the world of work by training in effective communication and teamwork, using technology on a global scale.
